My husband and I LOVE Krugs Tavern. It has become our go to sports bar and favorite location for after work libations. Come as you are. This is a welcoming no-frills bar. We love it. We have probably ordered everything from their menu and can’t complain about a single item. We recommend the employee sauce (secret sauce) on either their wings or shrimp. The underrated item on their menu is their pickle. It is seriously crunchy and delicious. Their burgers are delicious but very filling. My warning to large tables is that the kitchen cooks to order, so expect items to come out at different times. Free Parking is in the rear (not side) of the building (turn on Napoleon Street).
Excellent food. This is a pretty cool dive bar with some of the biggest burgers you'll find in NJ. All hand crafted marvels of meat (pause). Everything is made to order and you can taste the passion in each bite. Good service, very attentive staff, and they make you feel like a regular. Definitely glad I tried this spot out today and can't wait to return.
Best burger I've ever had by far
I can’t say enough good things about Krug’s Tavern. The food is absolutely amazing, consistently delicious and worth every bite. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable, and the drinks are cheap, which makes it an even better spot to hang out. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and just has that classic, comfortable vibe you want in a great local place. What really sets them apart, though, is their service. Yesterday, I had an emergency and needed ice. Even though they don’t normally provide it, they understood the situation and still helped me out without hesitation. That kind of kindness and willingness to go above and beyond says everything about the people there. No surprise they have been open for almost a CENTURY!!!! Great food, great prices, great environment, and even better people. Highly recommend!
Not a fan of that side door that freezes you every time it opens but man was I loving this burger. Plump and juicy are an insult to this beauty, sultry comes to mind. Usually when I go to a burger joint I have to ad a sprinkle of salt or pepper and at times I throw on some ketchup to make it stand out, not here. This burger came perfect, down the hatch ready to devour. This is in my top 5 without effort. Why is this dive bar not on the news or on great big billboards all around the state? When you get off exit 14 of the NJTP there should be a sign pointing to this place, in fact it should have its own exit. This is truly of New Jersey hidden gems. We need to protect this place at all costs. Nothing fancy about this place, you could miss it if you weren’t looking for it but you’ll be kicking yourself in the you know what if you never get the chance to try this place out. #JerseyStrong #BurgerBeast
Classic old-school Tavern serving freshly prepared food . Classic 12 oz Burger doesn't disappoint. No special sauce needed !!!!! the quality of the meat of the stands out. Medium rare perfection with a fresh roll, plenty of juice. Onion +Tomato only.. Juicy, flavorful.. served with fresh steak 🍟 fries. Great service as well
It’s very hard to park here, despite the parking lot. It was worth the trip. The waitresses were the hardest working workers I’ve ever seen. They deserve a big raise.
Still on top of their game it’s been many years since I’ve been here and this is one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long long time that I could remember as busy as they are the staff was fantastic. Everyone was pleasant and I can’t wait to come back
One of the best burgers in NJ! Classic, old-school tavern. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Phenomenal cheeseburger and onion rings. Next time I’ll try the wings and cheesesteak because I’m told they are great too!
Best cheeseburger I have ever had and Joyce who makes these delicious burgers is top notch so very cool. I come here as much as I can for the antnosphere yuengling and cheeseburger and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you Krugs family. There is free parking too which is fab. ❤️ there is no where else at all I would consider going ever. I’ll be a loyal customer for Eva.
